music listened while studying
Started by jroque3313
I usually listen to classical when reading something very dense and that requires a lot of focus. When I'm doing more tedious reading and problem solving ill listen to alternative or anything else for that matter
Movie scores like Hans Zimmer, Steve Jablonski, John Williams, Howard Shore, James Horner, etc. Classical is good too, but movie scores add a little more inspiration, which I need when studying certain subjects.

me preferably trance and house 😉
Celtic Music...or Braveheart Film Score on Pandora. Drowns out surrounding noise and is pretty good for studying.

So.. I've never told anyone about this as I think it's the weirdest thing in the world but..
I have a youtube playlist of clips from televesion shows that I listen to when studying.. I know that sounds crazy but this is true. Like it's made of all the perfect moments of the shows I watch.. mainly scrubs and the oc.. and I can literally recite all these videos (30+) by heart I "listen" to them so much.. just their voices in the background.. like it gives motivation I guess.
This isn't too crazy is it?

HOW DOES ANTHRAX FIT INTO YOUR SELECTION! I do love them though. Try a mix of Evans Blue/Pantera/80's hair metal/Zac Brown Band

Definately that Kenny G, it calms me down all the time👍! Plus, just turning on a basketball/football game so I can listen to whats going on is cool too
This is completely weird and a tad homo (hahahaha) but I listen to alot of different genres of the 70s and 80s when I'm studying..my musical list ranges from stuff like White Snake, Motley Crue, and Scorpion, to Hall and Oates, Genesis, and Culture Club....strange tastes when studying but I get so pumped about some of the songs!!!

In a word. Don't. It's easy mode.
You're brain has to simultaneously exert studying and music if you do this.
Ultimately, you will have "gaps" in your memory, and conceptualization will be weaker.
Work smart, play smart.
