Long story short, I have to decide today if it is worth the money to go to Columbia's post bacc program or should I stay in California and attend the Berkely post bac. My ultimate goal is to attend medical school in CA but I am concerned about berkeley extension because it is new and has no linkages. However, the classes are $750 a piece vs $4000 at Columbia. Please chime in and let me know your thoughts because I need to decide.

Thank Yuu

It is really up to you whether the linkages are worth the extra money that you would have to pay to attend Columbia's program. How competitive do you think you are for those linkages? Keep in mind that they are VERY competitive.

But it should not matter which program you go to - you go to the program you think will help you the most in terms of advising and support. Keep in mind that regardless of which program you choose, it is ultimately up to you to put in the hard work and discipline required to succeed in a post-bac program if you want to make your application that much stronger for admissions to the health professions. So, pick the school you feel you will succeed the best in, and don't worry about linkages unless you feel you can benefit from them.
