Does MWU-Az fill up 50% of the class pre dec 1 and 50% post dec 1? or is there another formula for them. Just curious.

There is no specific formula, but in the last few years they have handed out 80-110 acceptances on Dec 1st and filled the remainder of the seats at their leisure from the waitlist and from spring interviews.
the big question is how many do they interview pre-dec.....
dannngggggg
i really wanted to get an interview here. The son-in law of a dentist I shadow goes there. I went to the first dental school open house there in 2008. I am going up again for the open house next weekends
Sucks that I was 'on hold for interview' since July 24ish...... ..... Why can't MWU have some love for me???
sighhhh

hahaha let me share my experience with that.Have you shown some love for the school?
hahaha let me share my experience with that.
I went to MWU-AZ open house on 22nd? of October???
I got a chance to talk with admission director(not gonna name here) and explained my stats and situation.
He goes, (exact quote) "sGPA, GPA, DAT is ONLY THINGS matter. and then you have to wow us at the interview"/
I have around 3.4 and 3.5 and 20 DAT and told him. He was incredibly rude and condescending. almost made me felt bad for not having like 3.5 or 3.6. lol (i believe those are cut off. He told me 19 or higher for DAT)
But i just smile and told him, "thanks for the honesty. I need that rather than sugar coated, false sense of reality".
I mentioned him about writing a letter of continuating interest, and he told me that it is a bullcrap and not to do it. (which i appreciate. it saved me a lot of time)
It totally makes sense. cuz I have seen ppl here getting invites 2 days after submitting secondaries. That tells me two things. 1) either all other school are slackers and not doing their jobs. or 2) MWU-AZ just looks at those numbers.
At the end of day, I don't care. it is a good school with great students, faculty, and facilities. but I had interviews at better schools (my opinions) and schools that I wanna attend more.
PS oh ya he told me i have 20% chance of getting interviews and told a guy behind me that he has no shots. (very blunt)
That's true too... luck of the draw and applying early helps. But I'm hoping they forgive my numbers when they decide to wait-list me. Anyhow, I wish you best of good luck! 🙂
Hmm, did you interview already or are you post-december? I scheduled Jan 18th, still wondering if there's even a point to going after what I'm reading here... though I haven't much choice as it'll be my only other interview, unless I get some miraculous flood of interviews soon.
hahaha let me share my experience with that.

do you think that I do not know about the school which is in my state? I have friends going there. and I have talked with 2-3 different admission counselors already prior to talking with the director.Numbers are not everything for MWU. The admissions director have to tell you what he told you, otherwise the school would be offering interviews to hundreds more people. If you really really want MWU, do your research and talk to the people who actually give out the interview invites and make the acceptance decisions. You have competitive numbers.
