I have been looking through SDN trying to find this answer and have come up empty handed. I am deciding between AZCOM and Touro CA and was wondering if anyone could give me input about either of the schools. BESIDES cost, any inside scoop about the schools would be greatly appreciated!

Pick based on cost and location. I was eyeing touro when applying because most of their students rotate in california and stay in california for residency.

My understanding is that basic sciences of most med schools are generally good. Rotations for DO programs suck almost everywhere.

That hasn't been my experience.

OP, having seen AZCOM grads in many of the residencies I've been eyeing, and having visited Touro-CA; I'd pick AZCOM.

great thanks for your inputs! man, this is gonna be a tough call

anyone else have any input? i would greatly appreciate it!

Both schools seems like they are on the better end of the DO spectrum and match well. Both seem to have a high % of their grads going ACGME. I would say neither has a clear advantage, so I would choose based on preferred location.

The match lists for both schools should be posted soon and might help you decide if you have geographic / program preferences. I've heard good things about the AZCOM rotations, and I believe they have a core site in Los Angeles.

Do note AZCOM tuition is currently at 58K/year, which is significant and projected to go up. AZCOM rotations don't seem to have the best opinions attached to them and there are currently (although it is being worked on) no recorded lectures.

i think so,great thanks for your inputs! man, this is gonna be a tough call.thanks
