I talked with an admissions counselor about the mandatory laptop for $1500 at Midwestern-IL. She said we have a choice of Mac or Pc. I have no idea which is better.
Do any of you know what are the pros and cons of each of the types for science/dental students?? 😕

For that much $$$ I would go with a Mac. Do you know what model it is?

I absolutely hate Macs.

But I will be getting a Mac when I go to D-school for the quick start up time and long battery life(don't want to fight with other students for the outlets)

About half our class went mac, and may who didn't wish they had. I never used a mac prior to dental school but now I hate using my pc laptop. The sony is alright i guess and the dell which was also an option for our class was definatetly the cheapest option but it comes with a full accident 4 year warrantee. So if you plan on going the pool a lot to study and worry about your machine being wrecked maybe get the dell. I have been real happy with the MAC. Good luck and enjoy dental school.
