Hi guys,
Anybody has any idea, or experience about MWU-Ill? I added to my list, but haven't paid yet. My GPA is 3.41, DAT 18( retake in August), garaduated from veterinary school over seas, 200hours shadowing, volunteer dentist assistant in prison. Research over seas( not published, but approved by Kentucky psychology school)

Midwestern U - Illinois is EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE! Amongst the top dental schools in terms of COA. I'm not sure if you even want to give it a shot unless you have obligations in Illinois such as family, work, etc. I've heard it's a nice campus with really nice clinics and labs - explains the tuition lol. I'm not so sure about the patient pool tho. University of Illinois - Chicago School of Dentistry is probably a better bet if you want to be in Illinois, but the COA is also quite astounding.

On a side note: If you're an overseas trained veterinarian, why don't you get licensed, find a nice spot you can open up a practice and start practicing? Well, unless you find no passion for veterinary work... Just curious 😉

there is a DAT score cut off for mw no matter how high ur gpa is. u will not get secondary application with low DAT score. call school and ask what total DAT score is accepted.

IMO, the campus was average at best. The weather certainly didn't help either. Out of all the schools I interviewed at, MWU-CDMI was the least impressive. It's clinic was also off campus so this will require you to find transportation. Overall, it is definitely not worth the price tag.

Out of all the schools I interviewed at it was one of the nicest clinics. It made UNLV and NOVA look ghetto. But like mentioned above the biggest draw back is the COA. If you have a scholarship like the HPSP, then this school is perfect.
