My 1st Topscore Test!

Hey guys I just toook my first topscore test last night and I honestly don't know if it's really helpful or not! It seems like the real DAT must be harder that topscore or at least the 2nd test! Here are my scores but for those who have taken the DAT and used topscore; my question is that will I know really where I am after taking the 3rd test? Or should I still expect something totally different on the real DAT?

Gchm: 25
OC: 28
QR: 19
RC: 19
PAT: 21
TS: 27
AA: 24

hell yea pooyah...I got a 23 on my 2nd topscore test too! I think it was pretty easy but kinda comparable to the DAT. Good confidence booster. Dont be pissed if you dont do that well on your next practice test. NJ!

Yeah I did kaplan subject tests and I know destroyer by heart 😉

Naaawh I really think the real one would be harder than this! At least test 2 and 3 would be harder. I hope it'd be the same on the real DAT but I highly doubt it!

I'm not on my laptop right now, but when I get home I'll make sure to look it up. But as far as net ionic equations go, make sure you know the solubility rules. Rewrite it from the dissociated form to the ionic form and cancel out the ions that are not participating in the reaction. That's all I can say right now but I'll explain it once I see it. Promise!!! lol

Good job. I only scored, on average, about a 19 on Topscore and ended up getting a 21 on the real thing. I didn't think Topscore was very realistic just because it tested way too much on specifics. The real test is filled with conceptual questions that will really see if you know the material, IN ADDITION too the details.

great scores. what biology classes have you taken ( I assume you have taken a good number of classes) considering your excellent Bio score. Im just now studying destroyer but find some of the questions on gen chem very difficult. Is it just me or is ~1/3 of gen chem an overkill comparted to the real DAT?

I'm a Molecular Bioscience and Biotechnology major so yeah I've taken bunch of biology courses. Frankly, I don't think there's such thing as an over kill. It's probabely one of the most important tests you're gonna take and the more you know the better off you're gonna be. Plus, you never know what to expect, so it's better to be prepared than deal will regrets later! 🙂

HEy man those scores are great! my take on topscore: the sciences are very comparable to the real DAT (which is great for you) but the RC and QR are too easy. this being said, you might want to work a little more on math and possibly try practicing speed reading. obviously, if you do similar on the sciences your scores will still be amazing, but to be well rounded it might help to do some extra RC or QR work. btw im not trying to freak you out (i think topscore was just as easy/hard as the real deal), just want to let you know that the RC and QR might be a bit lower on the real test 👍.

Thanks man. I know I do need to work on math and RC. I've never been good at RC at all, so anything above 18 works lol And I'll probabely find out where I am after finishing the 3rd test!
