My analysis of run through #1 of destroyer orgo

So I finished my first pass through 2012 destroyer orgo. Keep in mind I've already watched Chad's videos on Orgo a couple times and studied notes and flashcards of them. Here is largely how it went.

Questions 1-30 - "This ain't so bad! Chad is a great teacher. 🙂"

Questions 31-60 - "Damn, a couple dumb mistakes. I'll remember that next time!"

Questions 61-100 - "I evidently took the wrong exit, as per I am now on the WTF freeway. What the hell is periodic acid? Chad, where are you??"

Questions 101-180 - "Is that molecule even POSSIBLE? Am I still studying for the DAT? Where am I?"

Questions 181-259 - "Wait, I'm getting these ones right. What just happened? Was I in a time warp or something?"

Yeah. Essentially, the middle portion of 2012 destroyer will beat you until you bleed. Out of all the questions, I got 67% correct, but got the majority of the questions in the middle wrong. I'm about half way through making flashcards of everything I got wrong - and I'm somewhat remembering them already. I have to wonder if some of these nutty reactions will be on the DAT, but I suppose it's better to know them.

Up next is hammering through Bio destroyer and doing the same process, continuing to practice for PAT/Math/Reading, and taking practice exams for the rest of the material. All by August 9th. Think it's possible? It's gonna have to be.

HAHA I felt EXACTLY the same way. I just wanted to go head bud a nail after those problems.

I totally agree. The middle section of the orgo is a KILLLLER. But they got easier as you got closer to the end (Thank God, or I might've ended up burning this book)!

Hahahahaha you're so right! I haven't don't o chem yet but I have done g chem and math. " o math is going to be sooo easy, I'll study for that the lightest "...... It's called the destroyer for a reason lol. Gen chem has not been AS hard but some of the calculations are just insane without a calculator lol. Good luck with studying! It blows.

great humor out of what Destroyer does to you 🙂...during my prep time I completely skipped 55 to 80 ...as I was getting every other question wrong...it means i got 50% on them .....so I strated with 81 and felt way better...and yes for few questions i had to go back to Chad's videos..and he really mention every thing .....but so casually that first time around you might miss it.
