Hi everyone,

I am pretty new on this website, but I had a question so I thought I would register.

I submitted my AMCAS on September 17th (late I know), and I only applied to my state school---Nebraska. This is where I want to go and this is where I want to be. The tuition is 25,000 a year and it's just a perfect fit for me. Fortunately, it doesn't matter when you applied to Nebraska (non-rolling admissions), so I applied in September. However, my undergrad institution didn't send my transcripts until 1 week ago...which frustrates me like CRAZY.

Do you know how long it would take to process my application even though I submitted it over a month and half ago? AMCAS has already processed the applications that were sent on September 17th. Is it really going to take 4 MORE WEEKS?

I just want to get my interview over with. And all in-staters are guaranteed an interview. Gah!

If it isn't rolling admissions, does it matter when your school sends in your transcripts/when you have your interview?

Unfortunately, this process is just long and there's no real way around that. I'm not too familiar with the school but if they're like other schools, then yeah, 4 weeks from completion is actually a quick turnaround. Hope you're lucky and your app gets processed quickly! :luck:

It doesn't, but I just want my interview, you know what I mean? I am thinking about adding one more school--Creighton.

Applying to a single school isn't the best idea...

I know, but unfortunately, due to my mother's health, I have to stay home to take care of her. So my only option is UNMC or Creighton. I hope I can get in this year. If not, I have to reapply (but I am only a senior, so a year off may not be a bad idea).

Applications are queued for verification once ALL materials are received and your status becomes "ready for review".

As of today, according to the AMCAS website, apps that became "ready for review" on Oct. 3 are being verified. Looks like you have a few weeks to wait. Good luck!
