Interesting. I think that's true - it would be such a huge error to admit a weird, jerkoff applicant that, even though interviewing costs a lot, it catches the small number of bad seeds that could generally wreak havoc if allowed through. It also provides applicants with poorer numbers a chance to shine, and I think this is the case where an interview can "make" you.
