1) What do you girls and guys think of my chances??
  • cumGPA= 3.18, scienceGPA= 3.04 (even with a good semester its still reallly low 🙁 )
  • 24/25/21 AA/TS/PA, with nothing below 20
  • I think my personal statement came out very well
  • Letters of Evaluation I think are alright
  • About 230 hours shadowing/volunteering total including dental clinic and private practice and with different types of dentists
  • about 50 hours volunteer in hospital

I graduated in 3.5 years, but with lower GPAs than I have now. My science was below 3.0. In my last thread everyone said to take more classes so I did a post-baccalaureate for the semester that just finished and got straight As with one A- (3.91 semesterGPA 🙂). Really wanted 4.0, luckily what I got was enough to get me over that awfully dreaded region below 3.0 :scared:. Even with this good semester and DAT, Im still worried that this was all a big waste of time. I hope I'm good enough to be accepted.

2) I'm a New York resident, what do you guys and girls think of the list I'm applying to? Should I remove anything? Add anything?

There's a hefty price tag to applying to many schools, like $102 each, any tips would be really terrific because I don't want to be wasteful with where I apply to. But I'm willing to apply to as many dental schools as I need to because I want this stress to just stop already and not have to apply next year.

Good luck to everyone applying!!! :luck::luck::luck:

Don't keep your hopes up for Michigan. I would throw in LECOM, MOSDOH and UNE.

Penn might also be a stretch. Their average GPA is ~3.7.

except for maybe Penn, I think your list is pretty good.

Okay this is the list I have now.

Doesn't MOSDOH want like 10,000+ hours of community service in underserved areas?

I'd probably apply to some more schools if I were you. USC, Boston, Louisville for example are all OOS friendly. UoP likes high DAT scores so I would add them to the list if possible.

Maybe add UNLV, I hear theyre OOS friendly.

upon more research I have come to this list
