Hey all,

Undergraduate GPA - 2.61 (B.S. Human Biology)
Graduate GPA - 3.3 (Master's in Pharmacology and Toxicology)
PCAT
Verbal Ability - 78%
Biology - 95%
Reading Comprehension - 81%
Quantitative Ability - 61%
Chemistry - 76%
Composite - 85%

I have done two Mission trips (not exclusively for Pharmacy) that involved pharmaceuticals.
I have shadowed 3 Pharmacist's for around 20 hours (Already have scheduled more)
I am retaking classes I did poorly in, so I should have a boost in my undergraduate GPA and in my Graduate GPA after this Fall.
My LOR's are from two Pharmacist's (one was previously the Director of Pharmacy at our hospital in Grand Rapids) and one from a health professional (from one of my trips, Director of a Pediatric Unit in a hospital).

I know my GPA is low (retaking classes) and it doesn't look competitive, but I feel like my PCAT score and the fact I am working on a Master's in a related field will hopefully overshadow those.

Thoughts?

lol, I've seen you around many places posting your stats. No one really can give you a define answer about admission criteria and how ADCOM thinks.

you should post your stats at WAMC (what are my chances) thread and list the schools you are interested in and have people answer them for you. 👍

Sorry for sounding rude, but OP has started 3 new threads with his stats under general discussion. You'll find more answers if you post under the appropriate thread WAMC. You'll get no answers and clutter the forums

And seriously, you are asking a bunch of other prepharmers about your chances, which isn't really going to help you. And admissions depends on many factors that no one here can determine for you. Therefore, if you want some answers, call or post in WAMC so a forum mod can help you out. Hope this helps. This is like me posting my resume and asking an online forum what my chances are of getting a job.

Common misconception. The WAMC thread is NOT for forum moderators, it is for all members of SDN to contribute. I used to try to respond to each post, but truthfully I don't have any special insight into any school that isn't UF (and I probably don't have any special insight into UF either 😉), but it just got overwhelming so I don't even try to contribute in that thread anymore.

I like your advice overall and I hope you don't think I am "getting on to you" or anything, just wanted to make it clear to everyone reading this thread that ANYONE is welcome to contribute to the WAMCs thread, not just forum moderators. 👍

Lol but no one even gave me their two cents hahahahaha

Have you looked through last years application cycle for Ferris? That might be a good place to see stats of people getting accepted...

In Fall 2010 the average GPA of accepted students at Ferris State was a 3.63 GPA with a 2.8:1 application to acceptance ratio. They favor students living in the state and accept very few out of state applicants.

Hahah no problems Owle! i get what you are saying. I was just suggesting that OP's question might have a better chance of coming to the attention of a mod if posted in the WAMCs thread although I could be wrong.
