Where are you applying? Some schools have cut-offs, but those that don't def. apply there.

Fortunately for you, schools don't seem to give a crap about PAT and QR which you did not do well on at all so I don't think you'll run into too many problems with those scores. You did good on your TS and your AA isn't too bad either. With your GPA/sGPA I think you have a shot. To be honest, I really don't know if I would retake if I were you. I probably wouldn't with my EC so hopefully you have a great EC as well. Good luck!!

I don't know, your GPA and scores are kinda right in the middle of the pack, IMO...

I think you'll get some invites, so just nail your interviews...

Thanks guys!
I am applying to 31 schools. I have filled out secondaries even before taking the DAT for some of them. I am thinking about retaking the DAT in October. It is going to be hard but I will try with the full load of classes for Fall and commuting. I really want to do better on Bio and rest of the sections. On Math, I just ran out of time. There were too many word problems. Right now, I am trying to study Biology from the Princeton MCAT review. The questions they have in this book are hard, but I am getting the concepts down. Do you think it will help me better prepare for Bio?
Also, how should I prepare better for the next DAT?
This time, I had only taken 3 practice tests and those were also right before I was gonna take the real DAT.
If I were to take more practice tests and go over the explanations, do you think I can do better next time?
I really appreciate your responses!
Thanks again!😍

Your GPA is solid, but you should really consider retaking the DAT and aim for 19/19 so you'll have a legitimate shot. Applying to many schools will alsp help.

Jigabodo: your scores are really good. If you don't mind, would you please tell me what material you used to study for DAT? I, personally only used the Kaplan's blue book to study from. I would definitely like to add some good resources to boost my scores.
Thanks!

I took the Kaplan course, which includes the subject tests, flashcards, online workshops, online quizzes, review notes, lesson book, CD and the class itself. I think the Kaplan review note and the Blue book also have slightly different formats since the review note does not contain practice DAT at the end. Instead they just have like 10-15 questions in the end of each chapter. The review note also does not contain PAT section.

I also used Achiever and Topscore, and made sure that I understand whats going on, regardless if I get the question right or wrong. Achiever was pretty helpful, esp. the PAT section. I know some people think that it is way too difficult and does not represent the actual test - but I think after going through those problems, the actual PAT will be a breeze.

I enrolled in the Kaplan course, which was 1300. In my opinions, I think that it was quite overpriced. To tell the truth I think the whole course probably worthed around 600. The good thing about it is they actually provide you with extra questions, and that is always good. Kaplan has around 4-5 full lengths DAT, and I didn't think they were that easy.

The bio from Kaplan def. needs to add A LOT of additional info, since about 50% of the stuff that I was tested was actually not on Kaplan. OC and GC from Kaplan is pretty solid and should you understand all those reactions, you will be good to go for OC and GC on the actual DAT.

Hope it helps.

Thanks a lot!

I have been going through destroyer and wiki-ing all the answer choices and getting additional info about them. I like all the links because I can click away and find out more stuff that I had no idea about. (Be careful though, because Wiki is not 100% accurate) But in general, it gives good info! And make flashcards with all that stuff too.

Good luck

i have a suggestion... this is how i studied for the dat the second time i took it. try using examkrackers mcat 1001 questions for gen chem and orgo..... i mean you did say u have a lot going on, and these questions will take a while.... but they teach u the topics with the questions, i found them really helpful. i used the gen chem one mostly and got a 27 on gc on the dat.
