Just wondering what you think of my chances of getting in are. I've applied any and everywhere, just trying to get in. No preference really. I have a 3.9 GPA (Biomedical Engineering) but I got a 28 🙁 on the MCAT. I'm retaking it because I was getting 35's on practice tests. I have lots of research with 2 publications and more on the way. I have lots of volunteer and some leadership as well. Thanks for your opinions!!!!!!

I think you have a decent chance of getting in somewhere with a 28, but a 30+ would make you a strong candidate. I think a retake is a very wise plan if you're averaging a 35. Go knock it out of the park.

With a 3.7 and 29 being the median stats for those accepted to your state school, which loves people with lots of research (I've heard), with your stats, I'd say you have a good chance there. Over all, from the last three years of AMCAS stats, those applying with your numbers had a 74.1% chance of an acceptance somewhere.

Any advice as to where else specifically I might apply to increase my chances of getting in somewhere?

THanks for the help!
