Hello!!! Any input is greatly appreciated! I shadowed a DO doctor at an underserved community and I thought the on the spot treatment they can give to the patients without special equipment really got me interested in going to DO schools!
Here are my numbers:
Washington State resident and Asian American
Community College GPA: 3.97, took Gen chem, calc, social sciences,
Uni GPA (w/ CC grades): 3.63 so far one more quarter left.
GPA combined: 3.77
MCAT: 503 (128, 123,125,127) I know i did bad on CARS... :(

EC:
- 100 hours of hospital volunteer
- research 2 years with poster presentation
- years of volunteering for christian organization (leadership)
- started a pre-med club
- shadowing 100 hr by the time mid june
- study abroad
- multiple medical missions

I know my MCAT score isn't so hot but I still want to apply this cycle and if I don't get any offers then I'll take the MCAT again. Let me know if I'm missing any other info.

I'd prefer not to attend a school:
- with letter grading
- located at a super rural area

The thing is with that MCAT you can't be super picky. Apply broadly and you should be able to get in somewhere. Other people are better at school lists than me

As I see it, you have three options:

1. Apply broadly. Unless you have any major red flags, you’ll get in somewhere.

2. Take the MCAT again and score >507 or so. That’d enable you to be pickier without taking much of a risk of not getting in.

3. Apply narrowly to only urban schools as is, but recognize that there’s a chance that you may fail and have to apply again in the future.

I don’t recommend 3, but there are people who take that option.

You're fine for any DO school, including mine. Start list with WSU (yes, the MD school), and PacNW
