I've got a 6.5 year old German Shepherd that has recently developed a slight limp. I plan on taking him to the vet the week after next. I don't think the situation is urgent because he's apparently not in any pain...I extended and flexed his rear legs and he showed no signs of pain. Given the possibility that he's developing dysplasia should I take him to the vet sooner? Other than arthritis or dysplasia, are there many other things that would make him limp? Is there anything I can be doing for him now to improve his condition? Glucosamine supplements?
