hey guys, i see an interview thread and a roll call thread.. is there an official rejection thread? i just got my first rejection it is from Albany 🙁

Albany is very hard for transfer students. They just want your $100 application fee. Can you tell us your gpa?

I just want to tell you that.. last year I applied near deadline (one week prior).. I called Albany to ask them about chances of getting in at that point. The person looked at my PharmCAS and said yes and told me to mail $100. Not one week after receiving my money they gave me a rejection. Albany... it was an unethical move... and a very uncool one. It's also the only school I know of that charges that much for supplementary... and I'm not sure even why they need that much other than being capital pigs.

Don't let rejection get you down. It's a part of the process and one that is normal. Keep your chin up.

I the the University of Southern Nevada application fee is around 150

It's OK, I received my 1st rejection from MCPHS-Worcester last week. I also came on the board and saw some people get interview invites the same day. Hey, at least they were consistent with the updates.

I guess the easiest thing to say is "Ehhh, I didn't really want to go there anyways." 😀

I don't think he was that mean, maybe a little bitter but to be honest, his comment helped me. I am a little more cautious to send out my apps to certain schools b/c maybe infact they do just want your app fee. Now, it would be nice to know their stats (whoever as the one rejected) so the rest of us know if it is worth it to apply.

To me, that's what this forum is about, get info from other people to help us make decisions for our own applications. Money doesn't grow on trees, and if we can save a few bucks from not sending to one school, then we can use that money for applying to another school.

OP,

Rejection is part of the process. You can't expect to get into every school that you apply to. So don't sweat it. I'm pretty sure you've prepared yourself for it as we all do.

If things don't go your way, just hang on. If the desire is there to get into a pharmacy school, then it doesn't matter which one. You'll do fine.

I applied to MCPHS-Worcester as well, they just sent me a letter telling me that my application is complete and up for review. How long did you have to wait for a response?

do you mind telling me what your stats are.. and if you are in-state??

You don't need to take TOEFL if you got a BA/BS.

Really? What if i'm about to get a BA? Graduating this spring yay.... I hope worcester answers me soon... really mad at myself for making such a stupid mistake.
