Okay don't hate me for this post please (I read thru some searches about bad grades, etc.) but I need some serious advice.

I've gotten C's in physics1,2, and chem1. Dropped calc3 (got an A the second time), and have a 3.64 overall now. I'm going to be in my third year this coming fall and have no idea if I should apply to med school or not. I've been unsure for years. I started volunteering last year, only to stop abruptly towards finals week. So if I wanted to volunteer again I would have to go someplace else. I'm in a few clubs now, but would have to join more this fall. No research yet. I decided to go dental a few months ago and slacked off on everything, only to rethink everything and want to apply to medical school tonight. I think the reason why I've been unsure for so long is because I don't want to fully commit and get rejected, that's my biggest fear.

So the question is, in your honest opinion, would it be a good choice for me to revive the premed lifestyle for another year and apply to med school? I need other people's opinions because I tend to think from either a pessimistic or clouded mind sometimes. Thanks a bunch if you could reply

3/4 doctors recommend aleve.

YES!

a 3.64 is a good gpa (assuming your science gpa is around this as well)... Go into your junior year and ace all of your classes, do extracurrics related to the medical field (but ones you are really interested in, does not have to be research), and destroy the MCAT either in april or august of that year.... If you do well, you will be keeping your options open. If you decide later that medical school is not for you, It is much easier to fall back from the pre-med track than getting back on it.
