This is the actually number of the last paycheck of last year that I got:

YTD earnings: 137856.76

here's another paycheck that I got from my second per-diem job:

YTD earnings: 22453.45

So total YTD earnings = 160310.21.

Wow...I am so happy ...😍. I finally broke my goal to make> 150 K/year.😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍:love

Congrats! Where do you work at? If you made 160K working LESS than 40 hours a week then you really have it made! 👍

Dammit, I'm mad that I switched to Truck Driving School!!!! You said pharmacy sucks! Zomg!

Such a hypocrite.

Figures that the champion of the sky is falling crowd is here posting about his YTD earnings. Stay classy.

More impressive.

Are you a pharmacist? I read somewhere on here that you're a hospital administrator or something?

I usually work more than 50 hrs/week....FYI.

You have to be at least 30+. Didn't you say you graduated pharmacy school in 2003? People born in 1985 graduated high school in 2004! Unless you started pharmacy school at age 12, there is no way you are born in 1985.

My wife will finish law school before she's 30 and she had lots of years in the Army before school. But, her school IS a year less than pharmacy for the most part (most progs are 4 years, of course). But let's see, for Mr. Rx...

1985 - Born
2001 - Graduate HS TWO years early at about 16
2001/2002 - Enter 0-6 pharmacy program
2008/2009 - Graduate 0-6 pharmacy program

I guess it's possible that this ***** is not a complete fraud. But then, what does the "2004" mean? I suspect that's when this guy graduated pharmacy school (like WVU has it in his handle) so yeah, he'd have graduated when he was 19 from pharmacy school.

Possible, I guess. Plausible, definitely not.

Of course, he missed the point of Requiem's question entirely.

Um, I was born in Sept. 1985, and I entered high school in fall 1999. Graduated June 2003. I could have skipped at least one grade in elementary school(but my mom didn't want me to be in the same class as my older brother), making a possible 2002. If I had gone to a 2 year pre-pharm and year-round 3 year pharmd program, I could have been done with my PharmD and been working for 3 years already. So, it's not entirely impossible for this guy to be making that much, I guess.

Now, that up there is what I really wish would have happened in my life. Instead I'm stuck in my P1 IPPE in Jan of 2011. ::cries in corner::

Dude, posts like this p!ss me off. There was a story today on the news about a guy who went to jail at 20 for a crime he didn't even commit. They just exonerated him today, after 30 years. What the hell do you have to cry about? His entire life was behind bars for no reason.

Well Cloud 9 don't be so harsh if we all had to do things over we would do it differently. He just means that he didnt structure his time well. I did another masters now I'm entering p1 in 2011 as well.

I thought you weren't actually a pharmacist.

congrats. so, what's your income tax bracket?

Retail pharmacist will most likely fall in 28% tax bracket if you have no house, and single with no dependents even after maxing out 401k.

This thread is ******ed and was designed because someone was looking a good pat on the ass.

Atta boy! You won the admiration of a bunch of pre-pharmacy students and a few P1s.

congrats. so, what's your income tax bracket?

35% for both federal and state. Rougly, I got home net around 105K. My mortgage + home insurance + properties tax = 36K. My car insurance + gas = 3K. 401K = 12K. So roughly I have (105- 36-3-12) = 54K left over. Food/entertainment = 12K. Traveling = 10K. So overall I save around (54-12-10) =32K ....Oh wait....crap...I forgot my student loan is 500/month. So 32K- 6K = 26K saving....last year..

Why are you posting this and this thread in general? what is wrong with you... :lame: 👎

😍😍just wanna show the pharmacy students what they will have after grad....😍😍 guaranteed income >150K /year baby....oh yeah! So be positive....oh yeah...

I unironically like this thread. Everyone always says maintain professionalism and don't tell wage/salary, but unless there is price transparency, pharmacists will get screwed. And, if I didn't completely hate retail pharmacy, I'd probably do the exact same track. cash money!!!

Are you overpaying your loans or just going for the 10 year plan? If your interest rate isn't really low, I would pay as much off as fast as possible. Not envious of your tax bracket.

Interest is pretty low so I don't even bother paying them as much as when I first grad. I paid off 50% of it already....

I could swear this point has already been argued in another thread. I think it ended with one side calling the other a bunch of commies. And Mikey probably said something about Fords.

Do you think the gripe here has been with "telling wage/salary"? Wake up man.

The gripe I have with this insidious post is that it's inconsiderate. This pharmacist, having a background knowledge in serious job shortages for pharmacists in the states, chose to essentially whip out his paycheque and bat it in the faces of those who cannot even find employment!

Secondary to this, it is hardly a crime to wish to do well financially (I even started a finance thread here), but to do so in such a narcissistic manner is ridiculous.

I guess when you admittedly hate retail / your career, the only glimmer of happiness comes from a paycheque. Shame you look for praise, for making money no less, from people who a) may have not have near as much money of their own and b) are your professional colleagues who are searching for work.

Congrats man, good work.

Well, yeah. I mean, you basically implied he was childish in posting his figures. Which he is...but I don't mind him being "that guy". Is there something about the OPs background that I don't know about? Like, is he the community organizer for out of work pharmacists, and is now flaunting dollar billz?

Who do you think is better; Mike Tyson vs Muhammad Ali?

Are you really being serious about 1985?!?! :'( I'm the same age and you make 150k, you have just made me feel so bad about myself now thanks, 🙁 but congratulations to your success we are all happy for you.

Perhaps, you need to read what he said twice

rofl, calm down buddy, just a little trite kidding around on the internet.

as for being impressed by this guy, no. there are far easier ways to make money than going to pharm school.

Why didn't I know this several years ago?!

Too bad my loan payments are going to be $2000 a month.

What are some easier ways to make MORE money?
Only things I can think of is investing money is the stock market. Investing money is real estate or becoming a commercial real estate agent. Or starting some sort of business.

However all those things require MONEY to begin with. A friend of mine's father is a commerical real estate agent and he does business too...but he was already rich to begin with! LOL...he is just making even more money. It takes MONEY to make MONEY. Business would be the best field to go into but you need MONEY to start that in the begining.

I am not saying I disagree with you but I just can't think of a EASY way to becoming rich except of course being born rich...

I agree it is possible for someone to be born in 1985 and be a pharmacist right now.

However it is IMPOSSIBLE for someone to be born in 1985 and GRADUATED pharmacy school in 2003 or 2004. That just doesn't add up. I remember the OP saying that he graduated in 2003 and have already been working as a pharmacist for over 8 years...there is NO way he is born in 1985 if that was the case.

If you are born in 1985 you have at most been a pharmacist for 2 or 3 years max.

Unless he is a prodigy. He's probably just lying about his age, or everything. Who knows.

I never answered you about living expenses UCSF v. UOP, sorry about that. I am living in my parents' paid off house while they gallivant around the world being retired. They come home every 3 weeks or so and restock everything in the house for me, which is pretty good. Besides driving my expensive ass Mustang to class, and crap associated with school, I have no living expenses. Can't say the same about my wife's school but whatever. Yellow Ribbon Program ftw 😀

I'm surprised Passion hasn't mentioned his three favorite passionate words yet. But yea, let's toast to truck driving school:luck:
