I just started Brian Green's new book "The Fabric of the Universe," a follow-up to "The Elegant Universe". So far, so good.
The most powerful, amazing book I read this year (although not a new booK), was "Disgrace" by J.M. Coetzee, a South African Nobel Laureate. An overwhelming story about a man and his daughter, how they both come to be in different states of disgrace, and how they come to terms with it.
