Well, the first week is over...
And I love it, so far! I like the lectures, the professors, and gross isn't as bad as I thought it would be. It's almost fun, but I think we have too many hours (we had 10 hours of gross lab) and I think we could spend less time in there. But, I think I like the lectures a lot because this is all very new to me - I was an economics major and I hadn't had a science class in a long time.
My classmates all seem smart and fun and really with it. Some seem far more accomplished than me, but I do feel I fit in a certain niche. I'm learning time management as the days go, because I need to get more out of my days ... I go to school from 8-5 (or 8-3.15 some days), work out till 6-6.30, eat dinner, and study from about 7.30pm to 11pm ... Doesn't leave much time for activities, but I know I will make time (I have to - we have to do community service, preceptor visits, ambulance rides, etc., along with school).
I still have no idea where I will stand in the class, but honestly, I don't care - I just want to learn as much as I can, stay in shape, have fun, and enjoy it. The gift of my teachers' time and teaching is really going to pay off, at least I think so right now.
Well, in spite of this geeky rambling about school, I am off to the bar for some light inebriation and chilling ...
Hope everyone is enjoying their first year as much as I am ...
