I took naplex last week and just received score of 129. I had about 20 questions on statistics, 10 questions on cancer, 10 questions on cystic fibrosis, about 3 questions on infectious disease. I did not have questions on HIV. I only had 1 question from HTN, 2 from DM, and 2 from asthma. I had lot of questions on diagnostic measures. After taking exam, I def. knew that I was going to fail but by god grace I passed. I took pre-naplex twice (score of 89 and 101).

I read APHA book and looked through Protopass. I hope this helps.

On exam some questions I don't think I would have been able to answer without prontopass. Also, prontopass does not cover everything so have to use some other source too and I think ApHA book does that.

Hi,divpharm

I am interestd in buying your prontopass material. Let me know what all things you have in your package.

good luck

Hey I took the Naplex yesterday and the Mpje today. Really hard, Im hoping I passed. It seems there was no point studying cause the questions seem set to throw you, or are indepth. I had a few Hiv questions, Arrythmia, and lots of questions on brand names that were definitely not top 200.

Im believing God that I passed though. The MPje started off real easy, then it got harder as I went along.😱🙄

This is a good thread.

I agree. I had a lot of cystic fibrosis and MS questions. I had no idea what to put for those. Also had a few resources (red book, etc) questions. The only thing I could rely on was calculations. I was able to solve all but one calculation...but that doesn't necessarily mean I answered them correctly, I guess. We'll see.

I believe the best way to prepare for the NAPLEX is to make sure you have the calculations down (meq, tpn, cross calculations) and have a good BROAD knowledge of all the drugs..be able to distinguish the different categories with in a class( different type's of anti-arrythmyics). APHA book is good an all but I never really got any q's straight out of there and I think it can get very detailed. Hopefully I'll make it on the good side (75 and up).

If I were to study again for pharmacotherapy, I would make a table of different class drugs for each disease state- know the main SE's,counseling pts and brand names.

I have read thru kaplan twice, went thru study notes & various test questions available via net. However still feel not ready since it's been 15 years since I graduated & passed naplex. Worked for 15 years retail & fallen back in my knowledge of naplex testing. Any suggestions ?

As I study for naplex & ca law, all I can do is pray daily too.
Keep us in touch please.

Hello
I took Naplex yesterday, I used to go to URCH site but it is down these days. i really want to share my frustration now that is why I have just joined this forum. Does any body know how long it takes to get the result if u take it from Colorado board.
i got 8 to 10 questions all together from stats in the begining of my exam. then I had good number of maths which i was able to answer except the 2 question which didn' make any sense to me. I didn't have any anti cancer antibiotics cholestrol diuretics questions. i had DKA aids alot of non profile questions mostly with generics. i donot think that exam was very difficult except math was easy but tricky, but that is scaring me because i think if the difficulty level is low then it is hard to pass the exam.

I was able to finish it on time. I hope that i do pass this time as exam is going to be changed from this march.

I read prontopass, a little bit of APHA, passed prontopass quiz and read their last minute review material, also I score 117 on prenaplex.

Good luck to all those who are preparing.

Hi, Nestt:

You worked hard and took the exam so fast. I'm sure you will pass the exam. You had a good score on prenaplex. Just wait for the good news.

Best wish and good luck

I just found out that I passed...not sure what the score is, but saw my name on the boards website. Relief! As far as advice goes, I would def. recall my previous message, as it seems that calculations and knowing big picture information is the key to the exam.
