I am going to start a new specialty devoted solely to that "oh-so mysterious of appendages" the thumb. I am going to specialize in thumb injuries (ie. car door slams, jammed B-ball thumb, ect.) and I am going to charge an arm and a leg for my services, because hey "I am the only doc in the country devoted solely to the thumb." Who is with me?

Bump... I am in a strange mood today.

Ah... the great opposable thumb. Sounds like it might work. Where's your business plan? You have to get some buy-in somehow...

Why limit yourself to just the thumbs? You know those big toes get lots of action too!

I think this thread should be copyrighted before someone comes in and steals these ideas 😉

Although I like your idea, I will leave the big toes to others. I was thinking of the pinky finger but why fix what you can just chop off. The thumb is desperately needed like for gradding a hammer, using chop-sticks, throwing a spiral.

oh...think of all those poor children in third world nations that dont have access to opposable thumb specialties. Think of all the joy you could bring. You would be just as important to these nations as proper sanitation.

I say you get started on it.

They've got all types of international programs through HUMC. Just go on and do the thumb thing.
