i just retook the dat cause the first time i had computer glitch and i was able to retake it with a clean slate ( old scores erased ).

new
bio 21
gch 19
och 20
pat 20
rc 18
qr 14 disgusting. so many word problems. after reading comp. i was seriously sick of reading. i wish there was more simplifying type problems

new aa18 ts20 pat20
old aa 18 ts 18 pat20

so everyone's been asking if its gotten harder. i took two dats within a one month span. its not harder, just different questions, with a few where you need to apply common sense. the boost from a ts of 18 to 20 wouldn't have been possible without destroyer. its all i studied in between tests cause i knew i missed things that were in it on the first dat. it just has questions that no other book has. its a must have, guaranteed. didn't really do anything to the pat, cause i think it just comes innately to people. so my biggest concern is qr, i wish i could have atleast kept that the same.

You rock....nice scores. Awesome PAT score too.

Nice scores!! I was just wondering, are you going to take it again or are you pretty much satisfied with the scores!?

my low math score will probably come back to haunt me some how, so i probably have to think of answers to explain why if it comes up in any future interviews, if i get any. (crosses fingers). in case i do, retake it, i'll be tutoring friends for mcat and oat sciences, so i can stay sharp in that respect. i'm just hoping schools will not weigh the math section so much. cause without that part, my AA would have been much better, but that goes for a lot of people if they took any section out. for now im just gonna focus on my last few weeks of school and apply EARLY with the scores i have and see what happens.

Hey, i was in your same boat!

I got a 14 in QR and had almost identical scores to you and got 4 interviews and I got accepted into a public school as an out-of-stater this past cycle! You should be fine but take my advice...

ITS ALL ABOUT WHEN YOU APPLY!!!

good luck!

I made the mistake by the way of applying in august, that was too late.

How did you take 2 DAT's in one month if you have to wait 90 days between? Sounds a little sketchy to me.:meanie:

i had a problem where i couldn't answer an ochem question. the answers weren't available to select and the proctor couldn't figure out either. i appealed it to the ada a few days and they reset my eligibility and scores due to unfair testing conditions.

Well, there was one question for sure in math section that I can prove there was no answer choice. I asked them for verification but no luck via email. I am considering sending a registered/certified mail at this point.

immediately after i got out of my test, i demanded the prometric center report it so it would be on file with a witness. if you can get that proctor to be a witness it might facilitate the process.

I wasn't going to argue with them while the time is winding down on my last section. To be honest there was one question for sure that was wrong and one other that I was kinda sure it was wrong.

When I was done with all the other problems in the math section, I purposedly spent about 4 minutes to nail the question's validity. It was wrong.

Anyways, sorry for hijacking. Good job on your DAT, are you retaking it?

that sucks about the math section problem. theres a second that cant be wasted on that section. luckily mine was in science so i had plenty of time to complain. if i were you i'd pursue the appeal to retake it somehow. as far as retaking it is concerned, i've been getting a lot of feedback from friends and people on the board. from what i understand, math isn't as important as other sections. but an outlier such as a 14 really sticks out compared to the other scores, so it might be a warning sign to schools im not sure. one friend in particular had awesome scores other than rc and dental schools told him to retake it to improve his rc. so im just gonna apply with these scores and see if they will accept them. worst case scenario, they tell me to retake it and do better.

congrats on the new scores.... good luck applying! keep us updated
😀

Amen to that- The Destroyer rocks for sciences. Nice scores.

congrats on the scores...u did really well.
I agree with you about studying the Destroyer manual because that's mainly what i've been doing (in addition to some Top Score and Kaplan). So far it seems to be helping the most.

Anyway...congrats again!👍

could you please tell me which of these markers most resembles the size of markers you used at the prometric center for the DAT exam?

Thanks 🙂

i was wondering when you took the exam?

thanks

Just make sure you apply early and you should have no problem. Congrats on the scores I know how it is to take the exam twice, but it paid off in the lone run!!! GL
