My prof put the wrong term in my LOR

My professor put Spring 2005 instead the correct term which is Spring 2010 on my LOR. There were also grammatical errors. I'm sure he whipped it together in 15 minutes. Overall, it was a generoous LOR though.

Should I bother to have him change it? He already submitted it to AADSAS

How did you find out about the errors? If I were you, I would have him change it. I don't think it will seem very strong when he has errors in it and remembered you poorly enough to miss your year by 5 years.

I'm guessing you saw a copy. Is the other stuff really personal, or does the whole thing seem like he used a form letter he had and changed out the name?

there's some personal stuff on there, but it looks like he just changed out the name for the most part. I'm a nontrad who works full time. Never had the time to build relationships with my profs. I just did well in the classes, stopped by for office hours a few times, and they understood my situation and agreed to write something.

I'm 99% certain that once a LOR is submitted, you cannot delete/take it back/fix it from AADSAS. It will get sent out to every school you apply to regardless of the situation.

I don't believe this to be a problem. Spring 2005 or 2015.... its a typo and whoever reads the letter is more interested in the content of the letter rather than some grammatical/spelling/typo errors.

I think I'm agreeing with this. I'd let it go. There are more important factors than letters. Amazing letters are helpful, but I think part of the process is showing you can even obtain them.

I waived rights, but they don't seem to care. I saw (was given) 3 of my letters. But one of the things our school letter service does is read letters for accuracy (make sure they didn't put the wrong name in a form letter, etc.). They won't ever show us letters or tell us if it's bad or good, but for errors like that, they will contact the writer and tell them to fix it.

Health advisers also have access to LORs even if you waived your rights. So you guys should definitely ask them to check for you if the letters will be beneficial to you, i.e. not 1 paragraph long.
