will it be a big disadvantage if i don't use this? the deadline to turn in recommendations is in about 2 weeks. i asked my professors today if they could write something up for me. im a little concerned that my professors won't have enough time to write something out for me. what do you guys think? should i still shoot for the composite letter?

are you sure it's due in about 2 weeks? My school had deadline of May 1st.
Application starts on June 3rd so I think March is too early for its deadline.
I would definitely use it.

i think the way my school did it was that the earlier (i.e., march) date was the deadline to have your composite letter written in addition to having the committee interview so they could add their 2 cents into the letter. because i decided to apply after that, i had the april deadline which didn't include the interview. see if that's the case. and you said you asked your profs -- what did they say? you might have/had more success if you asked them in person, because it sounds like you emailed them.

If I remember it correctly, I had to finish my composite letter(saying who will write me letters and stuff) and finish writing a pre-application essays to have 2 committee interview in my school. These were all done around Jan~March. But the recommendation letters were due around April~May. After I e-submitted my AADSAS application, I wrote my prehealth advisor's name and AADSAS sent him email saying that I wrote his name and email address down. Then he submitted committee letter(which included 3 professor recommandation+dentist recommandation+preapplication essay+2interview feedbacks) electronically within 3 days.
