I was originally only going to apply to 10-15 schools. But then I took my DAT. My RC is terrible (could be a cutoff), and my PAT is "borderline" in my opinion. So I've now upped this number to a whopping 23 schools in an attempt to maximize my chances of an acceptance somewhere.
I know that some of these schools are stretches, but what I did was make a big spreadsheet of all the schools that I could theoretically apply to. I crossed out all of the schools that required things like anatomy or zoology, because I never took those in undergrad. Then I obviously removed in state only. Then I removed schools that are just plain silly to apply to, such as Harvard, Columbia, etc. What I was left with was a list of about 28 schools. I figured now that my RC and PAT are iffy, I might as well apply to most of them.
Here are my stats, followed by the schools.
-MA Resident
-Bio Major
-3.68 cumulative
-3.62 BCP
-110 hours of shadowing
-Decent extra curriculars, nothing to write home about

So yeah, that's about it. I still can't get over my RC score, but there's nothing I can do now but just hope I guess. Also, for those of you that didn't see my other thread, I do realize that many people get "SDNitis", but I feel this to be warranted considering many schools consider RC "very important". Are any of these schools of the "you're stupid to apply there" variety, given my situation? Money isn't an issue, I'm willing to pay more to maximize the chances.
Sigh. Thanks for the input everyone.
