My school only has General Bio and Calc open. What else should I take?

Since I officially decided to give Pharmacy one more try, I figured I'd start by registering for Calculus, General Bio, and General Chem. But my school only has one section of General Chem, and it is filled this semester.

That leaves me with 8 credits, taking Calculus and General Bio (4 each). How many more credits should I tack on, and which classes?

Well, how about a Speech class? That's a pre-req. for basically every Pharmacy program I've seen. Or, barring that, how about an ethics class? Or a Gender Studies class? Either could be useful to you, both on a personal level and as a professional.

I agree, there are many other possibilities you can utilize that will enhance your profile. Take things that interest you and will help you later on.

Been in the same boat as you. My advice pick another pre-req that you can get in, knock out some general ed. courses. Or if you are deciding to get a major, like I am, pick a class in a major you are considering.

An economics course may also be a pre-requisite course that schools need. It's a really easy course. You'll have to check to see what schools you are applying to actually need. Some schools may require economics (macro or micro), speech (public speaking), psychology or sociology. No matter what school you'll apply to though, you'll need electives (humanities/social sciences).
