Hey all! My first post. I've only recently discovered SDN.

So I took the DAT last week, and I will be applying to start dental school in August 2010. I am considering a retake, but would like your opinions. I personally feel pretty good, but I could be kidding myself!

I am a Biology major, Nutrition minor at the University of Georgia:
Overall GPA: 3.82
Science GPA: 3.85

So, would you try to bump up your DAT scores, mainly the science sections? As a note, I got A's in all my organic chemistry and other courses like that.

Mainly, I am shooting for the state school, MCG, though I am applying to four others that take plenty of out-of-state. The ADEA guide lists MCG's average entrance scores as 19 AA / 19 PAT, but pre-dents.com lists higher AA (21-22).

Your thoughts?

Thanks!

ADEA is more accurate than Predents. Only 10% of all applicants use that website....I think you are set my friend.

That's about what I was I was thinking as far as pre-dents.com goes. If there's a class size of 67, and only 6 of those who were accepted posted their scores.. it's a really small sample, and they're probably highly motivated to post their stuff (i.e., high marks).
