Hey all,

I'm the test-taker that had his DAT messed up because of dry-erase writing on the desk.
I've taken my re-take and everything went as smooth as possible this time:

My DAT scores:
------------------
PAT: 23 (99%)
TS: 19 (74%)
AA: 18 (61%)

BIO: 19
GC: 19
OC: 18
RC: 20
QR: 15 😡
------------------
Not too shabby, but I'm thinking I'll give it another shot in about 6 months. I know that I could improve on the QR at least.

As for my GPA at the University of Illinois, I'm working with about a 3.35 cumm. GPA and a 3.25 sci. GPA. I'll be getting my degree in molecular biology this spring '08.

Extracurriculars: I've been observing an oral surgeon for a few years and am treasurer for UIUC's Healthy Smiles student organization. As a bonus, I've always been into drawing.
------------------

I didn't apply this cycle for a few reasons; I didn't have the required letters of recommendations, I had yet to take the DAT, and, frankly, I didn't think my GPA, etc. was strong enough to be accepted.

My trouble now is, what do I do for my year in between graduating from UIUC and the 2009 start of dental school?

I'm willing to do absolutely anything in order to bolster my application--I just don't know what that "anything" is. Do I continue undergrad at a different school, taking upper Bios and raising my GPA? Should I consider a Masters? In what?

Basically, what would you guys do? Specifically where would you apply for post-bacc programs and when?

Thanks for reading/responding. The advisers at my university are worthless.
