hi everyone!

im just wondering what my stats are..

i cramped up the requirement courses(bio/chem/orgo/calc) at the last minute all together
because i changed my major so many time and transferred twice.

I have overall 3.4 GPA, 3.1 sGPA, and 25 on DAT.
I re-took bio2 (c- first time, a- second) & physics 1 (c first time, a second)
A's & A+'s in calc 1, calc 2, orgo 1, and physics 2.
I have worked as a dental assistant at a general dentists office for three years,
and volunteered at a local dental clinic for 500+hours.
I was a president of a greek letter organization for a year, & joined a medical volunteer group in school(even though i didnt do much).
Sadly, no research experience. :T

so with all this.. what are my chances?
I really want to get into NYU.. will it be possible with my low gpa? :T
& is there anyone you know (or yourself) that got into NYU with a low gpa like mine?

Also..
im kind of thinking about re-taking chem 1 (c-) and bio 1 (c)
but that will be after i apply, during my last semester of undergrad. should i do that?

I have heard NYU prefers to weigh DAT scores more than GPAs so I think you have a shot because you smashed the DAT 👍. However, I do suggest taking more science classes. You are going to want to boost that sGPA a little more.

confidence boost up! haha thank you for your reply!
i really hope i have a chance...T_T

I got in everywhere I applied (including an NYU interview invite that I declined) with a 3.5, 3.3 science and 19 DAT, so your stats are fine, just make sure your whole application is solid (extracurriculars, shadowing, etc.)
