Already bought Pathoma and going to start going over it after winter break. My goal is finish Pathoma before the hardcore Step 1 studying begins in May. It only takes 10 days if you spend all day on it, so I figure I can complete it over the course of the 2nd semester.

Hardcore Step 1 studying starts in early May, will take Step 1 in mid June. For hardcore studying, going to complete Doctors in Training. It takes 4 weeks. I'll also use UWorld Qbank for all practice questions. For practice tests, I'll buy some NBME tests. I'll also go over parts of Pathoma again if I have time/focus on weak areas.

Is this a solid study plan? Thanks in advance.

You didnt mention first aid. I would also likely do goljan audio when working out and Micro Made Ridiculous Simple as it is an easy quick read.

Doctors in Training uses First Aid so I figured that counted as First Aid haha. Isn't Goljan part of Falcon or something like that? Can you buy Goljan just buy itself? How much is it? Also, how much is Micro Made Ridiculous Simple?

1. "Goljan Audio" is a pirated recording of Falcon's review course. You can get it from sites in India and the Middle East. Its use is still considered software piracy.

2. First Aid has everything you need from Micro. If you are really struggling with micro, you can do Rediciulously Simple, but even that might be too much.

3. DIT is good only for a study regimen. You want to get two or three passes at First Aid yourself. There is absolutely no substitution for reading and annotating first aid. None. You will read First Aid. you will annotate in first aid from qbanks and DIT. You will REread First Aid getting your notes incorporated. "Skimming through" or "using DIT to count" is a recipe for disaster.

Is Goljan audio worth doing? Upperclassmen at my school were saying he goes off on tangents a lot and is maybe too detailed. I'll be doing Pathoma for pathology and I just realized that Goljan is only path. Is Goljan still worth it if I'm doing Pathoma?

I think goljan is worth it just so you have something audio to listen to when running or in the car. Yes, he does go off on tangents, but in a sense those tangents help jog your memory down the road.

I just flipped through my friend's First Aid. From when I flipped through it, it was stuff I already learned in much more depth in school. It seems like it's only good review. However, everyone on these forums swears by it so I'll try to go over it cover-to-cover before I start DIT. Thanks!
