Hey all, I am having a hard time deciding what to do next... anyways, I just got accepted to a summer research program (program #1) and they would like to book my flight soon (yes, they are paying for housing and airfare! awesome program!) and I HAVE to let them know within couple of days. On the other hand, I am waiting to hear back from another summer program, (program #2) I actually want this one more than the other one because I will get a garantee DO school interview once i finish the program this summer. So I called the program #2 today and the program director told me that the decision will come out next Monday around noon...
So i guess my question is:
Would it be a good idea to let program #1 know that they are my 2nd choice (well, without telling them directly) and ask for an extension?
