This painful secondary is due and I am not done with all of the responses yet. I'm starting to feel lazy. Did you guys use the entire 1500 character limit for each response? Part of me just wants to turn it in as it is...Just got back from an interview and am still recovering from the traveling.

No way that you have to use all 1500 for all the responses. There is just so many questions anyway. I think if you can get the jist down in 1000-1200, that's fine. I had most of mine much lower than 1500.

yeah well i heard that you have to answer the questions in either 1498 or 1499 characters. too little and they will think you didnt spend enough time on them. there is also an extra credit question that you unlock when you do the right character limits for each question. the secret question if you get it is: "tell us about your life" there is a 100,000 character limit on this.

I would just contact them and ask for an extention if you can't finish it. I don't think they stick to the deadline strictly.

They sent me the secondary with two weeks still to go for the MCAT so I emailed admissions asking for an extention. She replied saying that I can take as along as I want but to also keep in mind that there are hundreds of applicants getting ahead of me.

i just called them today...i was given a one week extension. i agree with whournameiz that yes....people will be ahead of you if you dont give it to them ASAP. but their app sucks...its so long...i thought i was finished with the 4 essays and stuff but NO there are all these small one paragraph things about your ECs....now i have to write 5 more things up...ARGH!!!!!!

I do not think that it matters if you fill up the 1500 charcater limit for each and every essay. Out of all the essays I wrote for davis, 2 were under 1000 characters and I got an interview invite. Just make sure you cover what you really have to get across and if you can do that in less characters then I don't think it's a problem

I too have sorta been procrastinating. I called today and they said that they're not as stringent on the deadline so I'm going tomake it quality work not rushed work.

Did anyone ask tho if it's turned in not exactly within a month, if it shows up as late?

in all honesty, if a school is not interested in me b.c of the number of characters of my essay, frankly, im not interested in going there. And if a school asks me about how their organ-based approach is going to make me a successful physician, im not interested in their ****ty ass bull****....
