Hello to all my Pre-dent friends,

Well, I'm done with my second quarter of medical school curriculum! Got all "A"s and "B"s this quarter! For Spring Break, due to the lack of funds, I didn't plan any big or long trips! A group of my colleagues and I do have a trip to Vegas planned and we plan to meet some lady friends and get a little shi@#y drunk!!

Onto dental related juicy stuff:

Well, from my poll on "What about me", I see that I have made some enemies! Good!! I guess I can't please everyone and it's just normal to step on some toes at times!! For most of you, I really appreciate and value your suggestions and info towards either to me personally or to our forum!!

Not much has changed as far as acceptances, interviews, or denials! I have an interview coming up next Wednesday with NOVA that I'm getting pumped for, other than that, I'm still hanging out by my mailbox when I'm not on this SDN thing bugging you guys!

After I emailed my new Winter Quarter grades to all the dental schools that I applied for this upcoming fall, UDMercy wrote me an email back yesterday stating that my file is being prepped and will be reviewed soon! Carol (Admissions Assistant) also said that they have plenty of seats left for their next class and that I should not be worried about the late timing of my application! I guess that's a good thing!

Temple, Mark (Admissions Director) replied an email to me today saying that they got exactly what they needed from me (when I emailed him my new grades for this past quarter) and that the admissions committee will have suffice info to make a final decision for my application! My fingers are still crossed!

Although I have all three of my letter of recommendations (they were all from medical school professors) in with AADSAS, I requested a fourth letter from a current dentist that I been shadowing/observing! He is so damn cool that he's like "I'll print you 5-6 copies and sealed them in an envelope and you can distribute them anyway you want!" I know that Nova has a high recommendation for a letter from a dentist that you have exposure to in addition to your three required letters with AADSAS, I thought my new letter can aid my application just for that reason!

Well, per your requests, I will keep on posting, but I will try to cut the number of posts down!! For those of you that think I have no life (eschou01), well.....you're right...you're my life now!!! <img border="0" alt="[Laughy]" title="" src="graemlins/laughy.gif" />

Oh one more thing, I plan on posting a new poll every Wednesday along with my regular check-ins!!

Hi This is my first post on the pre- dents, although I have been posting on the dental board. I have been reading your posts and I think I can understand your feelings. 🙂 I am also going through the same process except for that I am applying for the advanced standing positions. My chances of getting a spot this year are almost nill but I am still not that impatient. No matter what, in few years I'll be a dentist 😎 I think you are doing a great job here on this board by keeping everybody a little busy and providing and getting support is ofcourse what this board is meant for. My suggestion to you is too keep a little cool. Dont stress yourself that much. 😛 Hope for the best and be prepared for the worst. Enjoy this part of life as it will be a part of your memories.
