So I just took the DAT and I got:
PAT: 17
QR: 16
RC: 25
BIO: 19
GC: 21
OC: 18
TS: 19
AA: 20

My PAT is what's worrying me. MY QR is pretty low too, but my RC is really really high. I have a 3.6 gpa with a 3.3 science gpa and some good volunteer, extracurriculars and shadowing experience as well as (I think) some strong letters of recommendation.

So what I'm asking is, do you think my PAT will hold me back? I really don't have the time/money/patience to take this again.

Thanks!

Sorry to say, a retake is necessary because of RC and PAT section. Even some schools prefer good OC scores as well.

The OP has a good RC section and that is valued highly. I wouldn't retake if I were you and apply this cycle. IF you don't get in this cycle then maybe I would consider a retake.

Those are decent scores (try not to measure yourself against what you see in this forum 😎). Apply in June and see how it goes, an early app can help to some extent as well.

You couldn't retake until the end of July even if you wanted to anyway, and then they wouldn't get your new scores for up to a month after that.

call up your favorite schools and ask their opinion.

My opinion, you have great numbers. Just 1 isn't so (PAT)... I don't believe it will hold you back.
