BUMPITY...but not really.

I was curious about college giving me myopia and came across the site....please help us God. This guy is crazy! Haha. He is on a serious anti-Optometrist crusade.

I love that he cites papers from the 60's and 70's and thus expects them to be credible arguments in present day.

Myopter lens selection: "Ideally, if the eyes are different, each eye is calculated separately. But that would mean that you need a prescription, since store-bought glasses have the same power for each eye. To avoid this problem, if the difference between the eyes is not great, base the close-up lens selection on the better eye. The other eye will see a little more blur, but that is of no consequence."

LOL! Plus fogging one eye is brilliant. What's the point of the giant plastic box on your face when it just contains +3.00 lenses? Forget about working distance.

"The rules for selecting close-up lenses are provided here for the use of anyone, eye doctors and non-doctors."

This should be really helpful in clinic. Now I know how to prescribe near lenses for people. Thank you myopter guy.
