It wouldn't be 3-butyl-2 methyl HEPTANedioic acid? If you count the number of carbon chains, there is one that is 6 carbons long and there is one that is 7 carbons long. What do you think?

4-(1 methyl ethanoic acyl)propanoic acid?

I count an 8 carbon chain starting with the acid in the bottom right. The second acid above is a substituent, isn't it?

I did a Google search for "organic chemistry nomenclature builder" and the first like takes you to a sketch program and after I drew it out it was named 3-butyl-2-methyladipic acid.

It is hexanedioic acid, because both COOH groups must be a part lf the main chain.
