Hello
I just wanted to contribute a little, I am always asking questions here and getting all this help, just want to give back a little
for those of you who are going to take the mcat, THE NAME THAT THE BI*** AT THE TESTING CENTER HAS ABSOLUTELY MUST MATCH THE NAME ON YOUR ID. Not off by even one letter. There was a kid whose name was not matching and they didnt let him take it

Also one question: did you do anything funny right before your mcat?
What i did is I warmed up by doing a couple of laps around the testing center so i ended up taking the test smelling like sweat. no wonder the woman who did the fingerprinting knew me by name.

Interesting experience!

There was also someone on here whose name was slightly different (I think it was supersaiyan..... or something along those lines) than his ID and he was allowed in. However to be safe one should make sure the name matches exactly.

Thanks for the heads up. My name can get messed up easily. For example, at work, HR accidentally entered the second part of my first name as my last name. I had so much trouble signing up for my benefits because of it!

well I didn't write the name that was on my driver's license and I thought they wouldn't let me in. However I went in one day earlier to explain myself and to show my Student ID which had the name, and the lady was nice enough to let me in lol..

The AAMC asks you to print out your confirmation after registering and also they send you a confirmation email with this on it.

Ignore at your peril
DOCUMENT TO BRING:
One valid government issued ID with photo and signature (i.e. Driver's License, Passport). You will NOT be receiving an Admission
Ticket. Simply report to the testing site on the examination day with the
proper identification. The Test Center Administrator (TCA) must positively
identify you before allowing you to enter the testing room. You must provide personal identification in the form of a current, valid, major form of
government-issued ID containing an expiration date, your photo, and signature (e.g., a driver's license or passport), in which the name matches that of your registration EXACTLY. The TCA will inspect your personal identification to make certain that it has not been altered and that it belongs to you. The TCA cannot accept employee ID's, school ID's, library cards, or similar identification, even if issued by government-sponsored institutions. If you cannot obtain government-issued identification, or you are unsure if the ID you have meets our requirements, you must contact the MCAT Program

of course some people are allowed in without proper ID, but that is like a bartender serving a guy without an ID. It is not allowed but some people still do it.
