Waddup y'all?

I am filling out some supplementals and have a few essays to write. Anyone feel that it is ever appropriate to name someone you shadowed who is a grad of that school?

Example: I have seen that University of ______ dental graduates such as Dr. _______ are extremely ethical in their field of work .

yay or nay? what ya guys think?

Why wouldn't you, if it helps answer the question? If you're from a state with only one or two dental schools, you almost can't help but name some of their alumni. I don't see any problem with embellishing the name with their school if that's where you're applying.

ETA: You might make it parenthetical, instead of a main subject in the sentence, separated by commas, dashes or even just parenthesis. For example:
"I have seen Dr. Foo - a UBar grad, no less - display some really cool ethics."

I think it'll be good to name someone that's an alumni. It will show that this person made an impression on you which in turn is almost saying that the school is making an impression on you. You basically flatter the school by saying that a graduate from their school, who you are shadowing/shadowed, displays characteristics that you value in a dentist and hope to emulate.

Always check to make sure the dentist you are mentioning is ok with using his/her name!

You gotta paint 'em a vivid picture. It's a love story, be seductive! :wacky:
Make sure you seduce them with this face :wacky: because those are the candidates that dental schools chase after.
