Do we need to know how to name compounds on the DAT?

I know that the ADA website says we need to know nomenclature under the ochem section but it does not have anything listed under general chemistry for naming.

Anyone ever get a general chemistry naming question?

def for ochem.. you might have to know them so you could use them without having their formula written on gchem

Pretty much

Empirical/Molecular Formula
and determining Oxidation/Reduction numbers

Knowing those would be a good idea. I think nomenclature is throughout the GC section though (Acid/Bases, Gases, etc) - but you'll be able to recognize it.

And just for reference, I did get a few nomenclature-type of questions for GC dealing with empirical/molecular formulas and oxidation/reduction numbers. They were gimme points.
