I did my nails with these nail polish strips:
Those are awesome! I really wanted to try out how to do them with newspaper or similar, but it would not really be worth it. It'd just come off at work with all the chemicals. 🙁
I tried to write for kittens today, but I kept moving the words into my word doc so I could save and it kept not giving me new kittens. I did get an incredibly adorable tiny orange one, though. 🙂

NaNo's basic goal is just getting people to write every day. 😀 So if you can do that, it's a start!

If you can get to any write-ins or meet-ups, go for it! I met some really awesome people at the ones back home, made some really great friends, and got a lot done.
There's two within walking distance next week! I think they meet every week but I can't go this week. I'm going there and taking my dog. Maybe she'll meet a few people and it'll help her training while I work on the novel. 🙂

👍👍 My people in my region are awesome, I started hanging out with them last year. Unfortunately most of the write-ins are when I'm at work.

I'm happy I took the time today to catch up. Otherwise I would have wasted just as much time tomorrow. I'm gonna try to write more tonight so I can focus more on studying tomorrow.
I'm excited to meet the people in my region. I always see the same people so it'll be nice to meet someone completely new!

I wrote more than 3k words today and have reached my goal of 9k. Very happy with that and going to bed now. 🙂

I used those ones. They stayed on decently well.
I didn't either when I started. On the forum, there are Adopt a Plot/Character etc threads. I looked through those and combined stuff from there with previous ideas. Now I have ideas for continuing books already!

My word count is more on target according to the graph on my profile than it usually is. I have too many early classes for my usual "it's not tomorrow if I haven't gone to bed yet, even if it's after midnight" to come up.

That's what I told myself yesterday. Those words that are shown as written for today.. I count them for yesterday.

I've started going back to an old story and working on that when the temptation hits. I cant let myself log into Nano though - that would be too much for me haha. If I manage to get to finish this one (an old Nano project!) I'll be happy. It's nearly there 🙂

I haven't written anything at all today. And barely anything yesterday. Gonna wait until Friday after my test. And then it's full NaNo weekend. (and some horse show planning..)
I was really proud of myself for finishing my last 800 words in like 20 minutes before my work shift. Then I spent the rest of the night after work watching Futurama with a couple of friends. 😀
No word are coming tonight. I have almost 6k to catch up with and it'll be even more if I wait until tomorrow. But all I can think about is sleep and it's only 9.

Most of the years when I did NaNo I'd be ~10-15K behind until Thanksgiving weekend and then it would be a sprint until the end 🙂
I added about 5K to an old story over the past few days. It's helping me get that writing urge out of my system without attempting NaNo craziness on top of vet school hell 🙂

23k...I'm amazed I'm still on track. There have been a couple of nights where I'm frantically typing because I need to go to bed for my early class, but somehow I finish in time.

I've pretty much pushed NaNo aside...with grad school apps and everything (it's like working two jobs, going to school full-time, doing an internship, AND trying to prep everything for VMCAS x4), things just got a little too busy... 🙁 Oh well.
Just finished my novel! It is definitely the worst one of the 4 years I've been doing it, but I finished.
