I finally got my ATT today. Unfortunately, the only spot anywhere near me only has June 20th open at the latest. I've gone through about 2/3 of RxPrep once so far. Do you think it would be doable to be prepared by Wednesday? Otherwise, I'll have to take it in mid to late July.

You could probably do iti f you devote 15 hour days for the next 5 days.

Why are you taking the NAPLEX now if you're a resident?

I graduated. Residency starts July 2nd. Therefore, NAPLEX needs to be taken. Or you mean why now as opposed to in a month?

Naplex is cake walk. If you were were a good student then you will pass without prep. Spend your time studying MPJE instead, they pull Jedi mind tricks on that one.

You will pass , take it !!!!

Naplex is easy.... max score 150... only need 75 to pass! 50% correct????! Total joke... I got 132 if i remember correctly. Take it asap and focus on law part.

Take it now! I haven't taken it yet (doing it today actually) but I think most people way overestimate the amount of time needed to study to pass the naplex. After all, we've been studying for it for the last four years already.

Thanks everyone! I was ready to schedule June 20th, but thankfully a June 27th spot opened up today that wasn't there yesterday, so I took that.

I believe most residencies are conditional hires and that condition is you getting licensed by a certain date.

Agreed. While you don't want to blow off the NAPLEX, don't turn it into something that it's not. If you do some reviewing and actually matriculated through pharmacy school, then it should be pretty hard to fail the exam.

Take the exam sooner than later.

Nope , the naplex is not scored that way. 75 is a passing score, it does not mean you have to get 50 percent to pass. you can check on the nabp website

Correct. Here's the link to the NABP's PDF on NAPLEX/MJPE details: http://www.nabp.net/programs/assets/NAPLEX-MPJE.pdf

If you look under PDF page 15 (booklet page 11), it specifically states,

NABP Document said:
"The passing score reported is not a percentage value. The score is calculated by first determining the candidate's ability level on the NAPLEX and then comparing the candidate's ability level to the predetermined minimum acceptable ability level established for the NAPLEX."
Questions on the exam are not weighted equally, and the final number that you receive is a "scaled score."

Other scoring notables are: 1.) You have to answer 162 questions to receive a score, and 2.) If you don't answer all 185 questions, then your score is penalized.

Don't underestimate anything because people have failed it and remember that you have to wait 3 months to retake it. It's better to be prepared then not to be prepared. Never rely on other people's words bc when you do bad who will save u? no one. I've heard of people barely studying and thinking it's a cake and failing it and having to wait 3 months and losing their grad. jobs, etc (remember retail and some residency give you a time limit when to get your license, typically 90 days from the day you are elligible to sit for Naplex).
Remember there can be alot of tricky questions and you can get questions that you aren't well prepared for like TPN, etc so take the time to study and do it right the first time.

Again, I already registered. NAPLEX on June 27th (thankfully a date later than the 20th showed up) and MPJE on July 28th. I figure that way I'll have enough time to study for the MPJE and still not get my license way too late. Maybe a month is too long, but I wanted a Saturday, and this testing center was a bit more convenient. Still have to drive 1.5 hours for NAPLEX and 1 hour for MPJE, because of there being too many pharmacy students in this area. I think my residency said get licensed by Oct. 1st.
