I just came back from taking the NAPLEX for the first time and am certain I failed. The month and half of (what I believed to be) hardcore studying was clearly not enough.
I was the penultimate "average" student during pharmacy school. I passed, but didn't soar through my exams. So I'm pretty sure I don't measure up to the typical SDN crowd.

Save for a couple questions I basically felt like I was guessing through the exam.
For some reason mine was mostly on HIV, Infectious Diseases, and antipsychotics. Also had a splattering of fill-in-the-blank math questions near the end.

I'm not sure what I hope to get out of posting this thread... sort of therapeutic for me to accept the loss and move on I guess. I'll come back to report my results later if they provide scores on a Saturday(?).

Time for a nap.

[EDIT]
PASSED! UNBELIEVABLE!

a lot of ppl felt like they failed after taking the test, but turned out passing with a good score.
the better you do, the more difficult questions pop up...
so just don't think about it until u know your real score..
good luck🙂

I felt similarly and I just found out today that I passed. Best of luck to you! The exam is designed to make you feel that way I think, or so I kept telling myself. Who knows, you may be pleasantly surprised when you get the results 🙂

Congrats DesiRx! Was the prenaplex a good indicator of your score? And for the math, are the 120 calculations good enough or did you need to supplement elsewhere? Any tips for math in general? That's my main concern..

I took it a couple of days ago. I'm certain that I aced the calculations part, but what scares me is how many oncology and psychopharmacology questions were on the test. I never understood those subjects in school, didn't understand them on rotations, and I certainly didn't study them before taking the NAPLEX.

My biggest suggestion would be to just go through rxprep and you'll be good. My pre-naplex score was very similar to the actual naplex so I suggest you take the pre-naplex just to see where you stand. I did the 120 calculations as well just in case and they were helpful. There were a few problems that I couldn't figure out but there wasn't anything as complex on the actual exam.

I think we had the same exam as i had so many oncology questions. I'm just waiting patiently for my result. What day did you take the exam Sparda29? I'm guessing it was the same day I took it (Tuesday)

I took it on Tuesday too... I felt like I only had 1 or 2 oncology questions! I just checked and I passed! Good luck!!

Yay!!!!!! Just found out i passed! So excited. Now I can go study for law as well. Same day with you DESIRX. Next Thursday!

Just checked right now, I passed. Yayyyyy!😀😀

Took mine on the 27th and still no clue if I passed 🙁 For PA we can't check on the NABP website. I called the board and they said total waiting time is 2-3 WEEKS because they're backed up right now.

Damn that sucks. Are the BOPs slow everywhere?

My state is also taking forever and doesn't participate in NABP's online score reporting. It's sad that they make the students wait in limbo for weeks while others are getting their scores after 2 days. If you dont want to take part in online reporting..fine but don't wait weeks and be rude to students on the phone that you're 'bogged down'.

I agree! Does your state say that you can only find out your score after you take both the NAPLEX and MPJE? That's what the Ohio Board says. 🙁

My friends that took it for PA says you can check your status on the website: https://www.mylicense.state.pa.us/Pe...px?process=APP

if it says "completed" it means you've passed. You'll get the score in the mail a little over a week

I just took my exam today and I think I most despairingly, failed as well. I had around ~35% math question, and probably didn't get more than half right. Due to lack of time, I guessed on a handful of statistic questions towards the end and some others. Wondering if anybody think they did poorly in the math section but still passed?? Or am I **** out of luck?

Mine still says unchecked. I called the board and they said that means it's not processed yet. Hope it doesn't mean that I failed it and will get kicked out of residency...

To anyone who cares, I just found out I passed.
I'm not sure how, but I did.
Wow...

Literally in tears right now........

Congrats ! I was pulling for you. I took mine this Saturday and I seriously think I failed too but just like everyone else who thought they failed and passed I hope I passed too. I had like 12 questions from oncology and a combined 12 or less questions from htn,hf,asthma/copd, DM, HLD, and HIV. I had a lot of other random questions that I had no idea about.

If you feel confident you got most, if not all, of the calculations part, I would bet you passed.
I really think most of those really random questions were the experimental/test questions.
I will be rooting for you!

I don't think I did well on the math so I'm worrying! Did you know the math very well? I probably had about 20 questions on it...only felt confident in 7-8 of them 🙁. I believe I did ok on the rest of the test however...

I felt the opposite - confident only on the math. Save for a couple dozen questions I felt like I was guessing the whole time on the rest of the exam.
So who knows?
No reason to despair until you actually get your results. =)

If I take the test this wednesday, when will I hear by? I heard it's pretty fast online, but just how fast is it exactly?

If you're in one of those states that has results online, think I've heard the results get posted in about 2-3 days. I'm pretty sure it's less than a week.

I actually felt the same way about my exam (like I got about 8 math questions correct, but did OK on the rest of the test). I took the test on 7/2 and still have not heard anything from my state (PA). I called today, and they told me they're extremely backed up and it could take two weeks. Has anyone taken it around this time and seen their status update to "completed?"

I wouldn't worry, I got my results today and passed with a 105. The exam grading is a real mystery to me...I thought math was considered a pivotal area on the test and weighted more heavily but you can still get a good score without doing well on that area.

Thanks guys, despite how miserable you feel after the exam (see my post-naplex depression thread) it seems you can still come through with a good score. Don't panic till you actually see a failing result in the mail 😛

I took my MPJE today, 110% certain that I failed. There were SO many questions from the left field and way too many tricky/confusing K types. I don't even think I could've done a better job studying for the damn thing. But it is what it is I guess, I just hope I passed, although I feel like I really didn't. Sigh.

I just took my Naplex today and have been in a dark cloud all day. I felt like a big failure walking out of there. I got bombarded with math questions at the end, and with time running out, I guessed on most of them. I was able to get through the 120 SDN questions fine, but for some reason on the test, I had a difficult time solving simple problems. Anyone else have this issue?? I think I probably had like 20 something math problems and maybe got half right!!! I'm soooo scared. I'm glad to hear that you passed though despite your math issues as well...this gives me some hope. I actually got a 123 on the prenaplex...so was feeling okay walking into the test. After though was a completely different story. 🙁

DesiRX:
I bought the 150 questions from pharmacyexam, which seems too easy, and have read through my reading materials several times. I don't know what to expect though.
Hope you passed! I'm expecting the worst when I take mine tomorrow.

yeah i bought that too the night before because i started panicking but they didn't even help. the questions were too easy, like you said and the real mpje was nothing like it. i am 110% sure i failed, i hope i am wrong :/

Dont feel too bad, the exam is designed to make you feel like you failed. Everyone feels that way after taking it.

I passed surprisingly got 111.....didn't do that well on math

took MPJE 3 weeks ago and Naplex 1 week ago, still waiting for Ohio BOP to mail me results UGH!!!

Why can't all states participate in online score displaying...😡

Time to wait for the MPJE results.
Not too hopeful but not as demoralized as I was after NAPLEX.
