Anyone have a good way of estimating natural logs w/o using a calculator?? I am going to miss my calculator on the DAT!!! Thanks!

ln(0) is undefined (goes towards negative infinity).
ln(1/e) = -1
ln(1) = 0
ln(e) = 1
ln(e^2) = 2

e = 2.718 roughly.

ln(4.5) for example...

It's above e and below e^2. It seems like it's somewhere in the middle, a bit closer to e. I'd guess about 1.5. Answer is 1.507.
