Just spoke to the PT department and the lead (Rachel) said that the process is currently ongoing and that, at latest, expect a response by Tuesday.

Has anyone heard from NAU yet? Judging by threads from the past two years we might hear today or tomorrow!
Though should notify you either way, right? I bet they will send out interview and denials at the same time...hopefully

I know last year, my Univ had just over 175 people that did not meet all of our minimums (not qualified) out of 1250 applicants. So I think all Univs lose a bit, but less than 20% for sure. This year our pool is about the same. We have not finished yet, but it may be a little less this year. This year seems like a competitive pool.
Ya for NAU 1400 total applicants will end up being like 1200 qualified applicants. I don't know how many interviews they do, but it can't be more than a couple hundred....
At least they prefer in-state students 🙂 Although they actually select a lot higher percentage of out-of-state students than most public schools do I've noticed. And they get a TON of out-of-state applications because their out of state tuition is relatively cheap (a bit cheaper than some privates probably).

I heard from NAU yesterday (1/15) with an invite for interviews scheduled for 2/28. Not sure if this has any bearing but I think they had some issues with invite logistics since my interview was immediately rescheduled (same day just different time) when I replied.

Just got my rejection, good luck to you all!!
Can I ask what your stats are? I am out of state and too be honest I am feeling like I am bound to get a rejection notice soon too....
I got an invite on Wed for an invite to interview on 2/28.
This is a hunch based on what I've seen/heard so far:
1) NAU first sorted through the in-state apps (which historically have been significantly lower than out-state apps), interviews/rejections were sent out on the 15th/16th.
2) NAU is now sorting through out-state apps. They are currently sending out rejections and working on logistics for interviewees. So if you haven't recieved a rejection or don't recieve one soon, my GUESS is that NAU will send an invite after figuring out the logistics for 3/1.

Yup, out of state rejections were sent out today. Sad day...
Hope if we haven't heard anything it means that we have a better shot
Pretty sure the out of state interview emails will be sent out on Tuesday (tomm is a school holiday w MLK). Considering they had probably around 1000+ out of state apps and just sent out rejections on Friday, it will take some time to setup the logistics for interviews.

I am an out-of-state applicant (California). I got an interview invitation last Wednesday (Jan 15) for an interview on 3/1.Wait so have no out-of-staters received interview invitations yet?

Nice! Congrats! You mind sharing your stats?
The department said all invitations/rejections will be handed out by Tuesday but some acceptances/rejections are trickling in as they process the apps.
Will be checking my email incessantly tomorrow

Overall GPA: 3.88 (PTCAS)Nice! Congrats! You mind sharing your stats?

Pre-Req. GPA: 3.98
GRE: 157 V, 161 Q, 4.0 AW
Observation: ~270 hrs (110 inpatient, ~160 in 3 outpatient settings)
Are they interviewing all in-state applicants on 2/28 and all the out-of-state applicants on 3/1?
My interview is at 7:30 AM (yikes!), and I was wondering if everyone is interviewing together at the same time

Based on your stats, I believe I should be receiving an interview invite tomm (cGPA: 3.84, GRE: 167V, 160Q, 4.0AW), and I will let you know my timing. Looking at NAU threads for years past, it seems like they have interviews at 7:30 and 10.
Has anyone heard anything?
Nothing yet on this end. Take some deep breaths! Haha
Nothing yet
Anyone contact the admissions office today?

Anyone contact the admissions office today?
Yeh, I called around 12:30 (pst) and the individual said either by EoD today or tommorrow. I also sent an email in the evening inquiring about the delay so I should know more in the morning. My assumption is that since some interviews and rejections have been sent out, everyone should be receiving some kind of correspondence.
Ok cool thank you for the response. Fingers crossed!
Any news?
Nothing as of yet. I recieved an email from the PT department this morning (in response to my inquiry about timeline) saying that responses should be sent out by EoD today
denied. fiddlesticks. i hate that they use the word "regret" with the news. a little too profound to what i think they're really feeling. crossing my fingers for the rest of you!!! =]

No reply yet for me either. Anyone have any reviews on how their interviews went?
Personally I interviewed in flag on 2/28 at 730 am. I had two clinician interviewers and one faculty member. I thought two of them went exceptionally well, but one of the clinicians (ill avoid names) I found to be very abraisive and seemed to ask a lot of unfair, loaded questions. Anyone else have experiences to share?

I was in the Phoenix interviews Friday morning, I also had two clinicians and a professor. Kinda got thrown off by the clinicians because I was expecting people more like directly associated with NAU but it seemed to go pretty well. The only question I really felt could have a right or wrong answer depending on how the interviewer felt was about Obamacare and the health care reform and what I thought of how it affected PT. Personally just felt like if they disagreed it would knock me down a bit but who knows.
No news yet for me either. I found the interviews very relaxing for the most part, but one of the faculty was more uptight than the other two.
EDIT: I am in-state and interviewed in Flagstaff on Friday morning at 7:30.
