Does anyone have a copy of the Navy GMO billet list? I know they used to be posted on a website, but were removed for "security" reasons. I hoping I can find someone who downloaded or printed them before they were removed.

I have to submit a "wish list" to my detailer ASAP and they won't give us any info on where billets are. How the hell are you supposed to rank what you don't know exists?

Unfortunately the billets change and I doubt you will find a list anywhere. And the new detailor is unwilling to provide the list to commands and individuals(kinda shady if you ask me)

I would just list areas of the country and oconus and types of billets you are interested in. The detailor will hold popular billets back for returning gmos of course.

Submit your wishlist to what is most important, i.e. billet, location, deployability, USN, USMC, etc...
If you want to stay in San Diego list....Any ship in SD, clinic, waterfront billet
If you want So. Cal as #2 list, as location in most important...list ships/1st Mar Div/seabees/clinics. The detailer will get the picture and likely give you something in the area. Likely is the key, but if you are willing to take any billet, they will likely find something for you. If location is a strong reason, due to divorce and child custody or other reasons, have your intern advisor go to bat for you with the detailer. They always have spots in all marine divisions if you want to be on the ground.
If you don't want to go with the marines, list any ship in the nation and OCONUS.
Detailers are ok at matching wishlists to billets as long as you are flexible. If you list CVN 68 in SD and that's it, you are going to be unhappy.

Just expect a deployable billet where ever you go and you won't be surprised.

Billets are reserved for 2nd tour GMO billets. You won't get one of these unless or you really special, really lucky or other...This list includes branch clinics, teaching positions for corpsmen, waterfront training billets, etc..
