For those who are being commissioned (or supposed to) in October, have you heard or received anything from your recruiters or the Navy. I keep trying to call and e-mail my local recruiter and he won't contact me. Just curious how this process works from here on out.

Did you ever get your paperwork, if so when? Are you commissioning Oct 1? In same boat, keep being told to wait and be patient. Sept. has passed and we are almost into Oct.

I've been told to be patient as well. From the looks of it I will not be commissioning in October, unless things speed up. I'm fine with being patient, I just want confirmation that commissioning will eventually happen. I have only received an email and phone call from my recruiter saying I have been accepted and will be commissioned in October. No official documents.

I'm assuming you haven't gotten your official select letter yet? I'm in the same boat but my recruiter said basically they're waiting for the official "goal number" of HPSP scholarships depending on the budget and it was supposed to be established sometime in September but it looks like they're behind. She said they HAVE to have the official number by Oct 1st since its the roll over to the new fiscal year. Basically, once you get your select letter, which they can't give until they have this "goal number" then you'll be on the road to being commissioned, which my recruiter said happens pretty fast after you get the select letter. That being said, I don't know how accurate or true this is but its just what I've been told 🙂

Did anyone receive their select letter yet for Oct. commissioning?

Hey I got word from my recruiter a few hours ago

Looks like they finally decided when to phase the 30 of us in. 10 in October, 15 in December, 4 in January, and 1 in June.

My recruiter deleted everyones name but mine from the list he forwarded to me. Lucked out and was in the October batch and should have my final select letter by the end of the week

Yea, this sounds correct. My recruiter said the same thing. They do have an alternate list as well. The past years, usually 10-15 % of the students chose a different route. So 1-5 on the alternate list still have a chance. After that, it looks slim.
