The HPSP program through the navy is discontinued and will not be accepting applicants for matriculant class next fall. If anyone else was working at their application like I was (nearly done), I feel your frustration.

Any news on if AF is going to do it any time soon? Did they ever do it?

Just curious.. but why did they stop providing that scholarship to pod students?

Air Force hasn't done it (as far as I know) - or at least not in the last 10 years.

And my recruiter said, "I guess they have as many podiatrists as they need."

I had 4 people write me LORs, I lost 20 pounds, I wasted a day of my life at MEPS, I filled out tons of paperwork, and spent hours researching, and now it's not even real anymore. Ahhhh sooo frustrating.

Edit: I guess in hindsight, losing 20 pounds wasn't the worst thing that could have happened to me.

Lol

Sorry about that, that's too bad

Why not go through another service to get the HPSP? Do the Air Force and Army offer HPSP scholarships?
