Hello,

I see a few posts on here regarding the Navy Health Services scholarship program but I can't seem to find concrete answers.

Is anyone familiar with how the scholarship works? Are you receiving incoming while going to school? Are you active duty at all during your time in pharmacy school?

Thank you very much for the help!

I am also looking heavily into this program. From what I understand of it, you are considered active duty e-6 and paid as such plus basic allowance for housing which in my case would be around 3300 a month before tax and the BAH isn't taxed. Since the time that you are in school is considered active duty, that time does count for time served.

Yes, I am familiar with the program. I went through it 2000-2002. You are technically on active duty, but all you are expected to do is maintain your GPA and pass the Navy PRT. Study and don't get fat.

You receive active duty pay and benefits while you are in school.

Correct.

Sent you a PM.
